Slow Things Down. This song is meant to reflect the transitional phase after separating from someone. The last few days before it all comes to an end are hectic, filled with arguments and emotional conflict. Then, she is gone and suddenly you sit there in your room by yourself wondering, “what do I do now?” The wailing vocals rise and fall throughout the song, capturing the feeling of an aching heart. Weeks go by as you keep to yourself, going about menial daily tasks in a sort of numbed state. You can’t take your mind off her. As time goes on the pain begins to dissipate, but it is a slow burning process. By slowing things down, looking around and gathering your thoughts, you begin to reflect on the times you had with her, both good and bad.
